He later signed on as a solo artist with Provident Label Group - Reunion Records in 2016 and released his first solo single "Undefeated." His success continued with hit songs such as "Hills and Valleys," "When We Pray," and "Known," leading up to his third studio album titled Joy in 2022. Wells is also a worship leader at Lakewood Church, Houston, Texas, and has received Grammy nominations for Best Contemporary Christian Performance/Song and Contemporary Christian Album of the Year.</p>
