What I See - In the Bible [Verses & Devotional]

 

We are reminded in the song What I See by Elevation Worship that Jesus is alive and that He has conquered death. The lyrics “Dead things coming back to life again” and “He is risen” remind us of the power of Jesus’ resurrection. We can find hope in the fact that Jesus has conquered death and that He is alive. 

The Bible tells us in 1 Corinthians 15:20-22, “But in fact Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For as by a man came death, by a man has come also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive.” We can find hope in the fact that Jesus has conquered death and that He is alive.

The Bible tells us in John 14:12, “Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father.” We can find hope in the fact that Jesus is still performing miracles today. 

The lyrics “Paradise, flung wide open” remind us of the hope that we have in Jesus. We can find hope in the fact that Jesus has opened the gates of Heaven for us. The Bible tells us in Revelation 21:1-4, “Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” We can find hope in the fact that Jesus has opened the gates of Heaven for us.
