Great Things - In the Bible [Verses & Devotional]
Let us come together and worship our King, for He has done great things! We can look to the Bible to see the evidence of His greatness. In Isaiah 9:6, it says “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” This verse speaks of the greatness of our Savior, Jesus Christ. He is the Mighty God, the Prince of Peace, and He has done great things.
The chorus of the song speaks of the power of Jesus to conquer the grave and break every chain. This is a reminder of the power of Jesus to save us from our sins and give us freedom. In Romans 8:2 it says “For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death.” Jesus has done great things by setting us free from the power of sin and death.
The bridge of the song speaks of the greatness of God and His unshakable power. In Psalm 46:1 it says “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” God is unshakable and He has done great things by being our refuge and strength in times of trouble.
Let us come together and praise our King for He has done great things! He has conquered the grave, broken every chain, and set us free from the power of sin and death. He is our refuge and strength in times of trouble. Let us give thanks to Him for His great love and mercy.
